Pork Suyuk(Pyeonyuk) is a Korean food that is boiled with pork belly or pork shoulder butt and then slice and eat with pickled shrimp and ssamjang. It is delicious to wrap ssam in cabbage and lettuce, and even if you eat it with kimchi, you can enjoy it without greasiness.
To get rid of the smell of pork,doenjang, soju, and garlic are also added. Today, we will make some tender pork meat without pork smell.
INGREDIENTS
1200g pork forelegs, 1 onion, 1/5 cabbage, 1/2 apple, 1 piece of kelp (palm size), 10 whole garlic, 1/3 leek, 1 tablespoon of whole pepper, 2 tablespoon of cooking wine, pickled shrimp(fish) sauce 1 Tablespoon
Usually, pork belly or neck is used, but those who do not like fat can use forelegs. Vegetables can be any vegetables at home.

Add a tablespoon of whole peppers and add green onions. Then add a tablespoon of pickled shrimp(fish) sauce. If you don’t have shrimp sauce, you can add fish sauce or salt. Then add 2 tablespoons of cooking wine. If you don’t have cooking wine, you can add sake or soju.

Boil for 50 minutes after adding all ingredients. The boiling time depends on the thickness of the meat, and you can check the meat by sticking the meat with chopsticks.

Conclusion
It was really tender and without pork smell. It’s a lean meat, but it’s soft and well matched with shrimp sauce. It was more delicious when I ate it with kimchi. Many people boil it with doenjang, but it didn’t have pork smell even without it. It takes a while to cook, but it was good to make delicious meat relatively easily.
