When the weather gets chilly, I look for warm and spicy food. Jjamppong, which we often eat at Chinese restaurants, is one of them. Today, I’m going to make Jjamppong bap, similar to a Chinese restaurant flavor, at home. A lot of seafood such as small octopus and mussels will also be added to make it more savory and tasty. So, shall we try making it together?
JJAMPPONG BAP ingredients
6 small octopus, 12 shrimp, 15-20 mussels, 1 onion, 1 green onion, 1/8 cabbage, 1/4 zucchini, 200g minced pork, 2 tablespoons cooking oil, 2 tablespoons red pepper oil, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, 1.5 tablespoons coarse red pepper powder, 1.5 tablespoons fine red pepper powder, 1.5 tablespoons liquid chicken stock, 1.5 liters of water, 2 tablespoons chicken powder, 2 tablespoons MSG (Miwon)
1 tablespoon of cooking wine, black pepper powder, 5 Vietnamese peppers

Chop 1 onion and 1 green onion. Prepare the zucchini and carrots by dicing them finely. Wash and prepare mussels, shrimp, and small octopus.

Add 2 tablespoons cooking oil and 2 tablespoons chili oil. Add green onion and stir-fry. When the green onion flavor rises, add the minced pork and stir-fry. If the pork is sufficiently roasted, it will taste better. Then, add the sliced onion, cabbage, zucchini and carrots and stir-fry thoroughly.
Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1.5 tablespoons of coarse red pepper powder, 1.5 tablespoons of fine red pepper powder, and black pepper to your liking and stir-fry thoroughly.

Add small octopus and shrimp and bring to a boil. If you add Jjamppong to rice, delicious Jjamppong bap is completed.

Ingredients

- 1. Make a broth by adding 1.5 tablespoons of liquid chicken stock to 1.5 liters of water and mixing.

- 5. Add small octopus and shrimp and bring to a boil. If you add Jjamppong to rice, delicious Jjamppong bap is completed.

The spicy and delicious Jjamppongbap is ready. If you boil noodles instead of rice, you can enjoy it as Jjamppong noodles. At home, I was surprised that the taste was quite similar to what I eat at a Chinese restaurant. The spicy and savory soup is really amazing. It seems to be more delicious by adding fresh seafood.
