I eat mapo tofu often because it is relatively easy to cook among tofu dishes and tastes good. Today, I will make mapo tofu by adding dubanjang and chunjang. It definitely tastes different from what I’ve had before. So, shall we try making it together?
Mapo Tofu ingredients
1 tofu, 1 tablespoon red pepper oil, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon minced ginger, 1 tablespoon doubanjiang, 1 tablespoon tianmian sauce, 200g ground pork,
1 teaspoon chicken stock, 500ml water, 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 tablespoon white pepper, 2 tablespoons starch, 4 tablespoons water, 1/2 green onion
Mapo Tofu Recipe

Finely chop the green onion. Tofu is cut into dice.

Blanch the cut tofu in boiling water. Blanch slightly and set aside in a bowl. Blanching it like this will make the tofu hard.

Add 1 teaspoon of liquid chicken stock to 500ml of water and mix to make the broth. Make a starch solution by mixing 2 tablespoons of starch with 4 tablespoons of water.

Add 2 tablespoons of sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of red pepper oil. Then add 1 tablespoon of doubanjiang and 1 tablespoon of tianmian sauce and stir-fry.

Add 200g minced pork and fry together. Then add 250ml~300ml of the prepared broth and bring to a boil.

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1/2 tablespoon of white pepper. Then, add poached tofu and the prepared starch to adjust the concentration.

7. Add chopped green onion and mix to make a delicious mapo tofu.

Delicious Mapo Tofu is ready. Tianmian sauce is added to give it a more savory taste. It’s so easy to make and it’s so quick to cook.
